Abstract:
Advances in medicine and technology facilitated the discovery and treatment of many diseases. That is, to help patients with pains within the internal body organs to get a precise diagnosis using modern accurate instruments, such as endoscopes. Endoscope is a device that enters the human body through its opening ends (e.g. mouth) to investigate what problems exist deep inside.
Our work elaborates the idea of a new endoscope that can be developed from the existing types of medical endoscopes. Our developed endoscope will have several added features allowing the doctor to write medical reports directly saving the procedure time. It has an attached camera which can record certain scenes or procedures. This allows the doctor to explain the case to the patient.
Following the President's view and the government strategies to decrease the medical operations waiting lists, the operations rooms are facing great pressure in all hospitals in Egypt. This situation is worsening during COVID-19 attacks. As a result, doctors face great challenges regarding operation duration (especially the digestive system's). Moreover, most digestive system diseases take time to diagnose and they can be related to immune system problems.
We propose a solution to most of these issues by adding intelligence to the medical devices like the endoscope where it has a camera able to recognize the strange tissues into the stomach using artificial intelligence technologies. The following tools and languages are used: Qtdesigner, CSS, HTML, Python, OOP.
